Sustainable Places 2026
Sustainable Places 2026 (SP26), taking place in December 2026 at the European Convention Center Luxembourg in Luxembourg City (and online), convenes leading European research and innovation projects focused on sustainability in the built environment. As the first-ever winter edition of Sustainable Places, SP26 will bring together researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, and practitioners to share results, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration at the building, district, and urban scales.
This Open Research Europe Collection showcases insights from eligible European-funded projects participating in SP26. The continued partnership between Sustainable Places and Open Research Europe provides eligible European project beneficiaries with an opportunity to publish their work in full compliance with the open access requirements of their funding agreements.
Renowned for highlighting outcomes from EU Horizon projects, Sustainable Places addresses the critical challenges of designing, building, renovating, and operating more sustainable places to live and work. SP26 will continue to serve as a platform for dissemination, networking, clustering activities, and cross-sector collaboration across the sustainability ecosystem.
