E-Mobility

E-Mobility refers to clean and efficient transport, using electric vehicles, powered either by batteries or by hydrogen fuel cells. In recent years the development of E-Mobility has intensified to meet the need for more environment-friendly and efficient vehicles and to satisfy new regulatory requirements set by governments and other law-setting bodies.

Electric vehicles have different environmental impacts compared to conventional internal combustion engine vehicles. While aspects of their production remain resource intensive and can induce similar environmental impacts, some electric vehicles produce little or no tailpipe emissions. With the longer-term benefit seeing a reduced dependence on petroleum and greenhouse gas emissions.

As well as the manufacturing of electronic vehicles, the topic of E-Mobility may also encompass infrastructure such as charging stations, maintenance, power generation and distribution, storage and space provision.
