Strategic direction is provided by the Funders’ Group, representing the organisations that collectively support ORE. The Funders’ Group is supported by the Executive Committee, which is elected by its members.

As the Operating Organisation, CERN oversees the day-to-day running of the platform. A dedicated team, hosted at CERN, provides administrative coordination and support to both the Funders’ Group and the Executive Committee.
The platform is further guided by an independent Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), which brings expertise from across disciplines and provides advice on scientific publishing matters as well as ORE’s long-term development.
Together, these groups ensure that ORE remains transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the research community.
