Forest and Forestry Sciences

About Browse

Forests are important habitats and have many useful functions besides, such as carbon storage, air purification, water filtration and erosion prevention. Forest science provides the crucial evidence to maintain, protect and restore existing forests, as well as develop new ones. Forest science is especially important given the projected impacts of climate changes and the need to curb deforestation.

The scope of the collection includes but is not limited to:

  • Forest ecology and hydrology
  • Impact(s) of and adaptations to a changing climate
  • Regeneration and restoration
  • Silviculture
  • Coppicing
  • Wood science
