Sustainable Development

About Browse

Sustainable Development is a multidisciplinary research area which looks at how human society can achieve progress in a way that does not compromise opportunities for future generations. Using the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and their indicators as benchmarks or by identifying barriers to flourishing, researchers measure progress towards these goals from a theoretical perspective but also translate this research into policy recommendations for different stakeholders at supranational, national, regional, and municipal levels.

Contributions to Sustainable Development can be broken down into the following topics, although submissions are not limited to these areas:

  • Food
  • Health
  • Environment
  • Energy
  • Economy and economic development
  • Urban or regional planning
  • Community resilience
  • Oceans
