Transnational Literature

About Browse

This collection takes a dynamic approach to the study of literatures from around the globe. Moving away from the idea of national literatures, it investigates literature as a site of contact and friction between languages, ideas, practices, literary institutions, authors, readers and markets.

Committed to building up an archive on transnational literatures, the collection features research on a wide range of issues, such as language switching, translingualism, translation (as a form of mediation), digital literatures and digital authorship. It also welcomes research on transnational literary networks, transnational literary history and decolonizing literary history; citizenship and migration; post/colonial literature; historical perspectives on transnationalism; marketing practices; literary production and reception in the digital era.
