Open Research Europe has been accepted for indexing in ERIH PLUS, a key journal index within the humanities and social sciences (HSS) field which is widely used by the European academic community! To be accepted for inclusion in the ERIH Index, journals are evaluated based on factors such as transparency in their procedures for external independent peer review. Following the announcement of our recent indexation in Scopus, this is another significant milestone for Open Research Europe, and further highlights the Platform’s strength in publishing research in the humanities and social sciences.
Since its launch in March 2021, Open Research Europe has published 47 articles in the humanities and social sciences. 35 articles have already passed peer review on subjects as varied as the ethics of artificial intelligence, cultural heritage, and policymaking, representing the diversity and societal importance of research in HSS.
“Since its launch in 2021, Open Research Europe has developed dynamically into an innovative publication Platform that also meets the needs of the social sciences and humanities. The recent announcement that Open Research Europe will be indexed in the European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences is another significant milestone. It will further accelerate the growing importance of Open Research Europe for the humanities and social science research community,”
Anne Fuchs, Scientific Advisory Board member for Open Research Europe, Professor and Director of the University College Dublin Humanities Institute.
