Disease Management and Treatment
When the state of an organism deviates harmfully from its normal structure and function, it is termed diseased. In humans, the most common diseases are known as Diabetes, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke amongst many others, enlarging mortality and co-morbidity rates across the world. Whilst most diseases are not currently curable, further understanding their management, and improving their treatment(s) to reduce symptoms, for example, intuitively better the lives of those living with them.
The scope of the collection includes but is not limited to research within the broad area of disease management and treatment to improve the knowledge of medical professionals and patients:
- Strategies and protocols for managing diseases
- Novel and therapeutic disease treatments
- Acute and chronic disease treatments
- Clinical trials
- Patient-specific case studies/reports
- Current and future medical/health technologies identifying disease management and treatments
Researchers focused on disease mechanisms are encouraged to submit their articles to the dedicated collection on this theme (here).
